Making Christmas Jingle Bells ...

writen by admin In Kid Crafts

Materials needed: Small terracotta plant pot, paint, small jewels, gold glitter, craft glue, gold cord, gold ribbon, 1 Jingle bell and scissors.

Paint the entire plant pot in your choice of colour (although red or green is more Christmas like) and leave to dry. Glue a strip of gold ribbon around the rim. Glue on the jewels. Apply glue to your bell and sprinkle with the glitter, shaking off the excess.

Thread the jingle bell onto the gold cord. Tie a large knot above the jingle bell so that when you put the cord with the jingle bell inside the pot, it will not go through the hole in the bottom of the pot. Pull the cord from the inside of the pot up through the hole in the bottom. Leave a loop in the cord to hang.

Now make a large bow using the gold ribbon and tie it to the gold cord.

Other ideas

Draw a snowman on to your bell and cover it with cotton wool and use small black buttons for the eyes and buttons down his front. Make a miniature snowflake from white paper and glue to the painted bell. Apply glue to the whole bell and dip it into glitter.
